ACYIKAC = A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court. Unlike ISOT this venerable Acronyms more modern descendant ACYIKAC refers to a single character displaced in time instead of a group. Usually a present day person displaced to some time in the past. Inspired by Mark Twain novel of course.
Admin = who the law answers to. ALSO THE LAW. These guys have final say in what some rule will be.
Administratium = the Bureaucracy of the Forum. They are the law. Also the Bureaucracy of the Imperium of Man.

AH = Alternate History.
AI = Artifical Intelligence, or in laymans terms, a computer program that's now sentient, IE Skynet, Cortana...
AKA = Also Known As.
Anime = Japanese (influenced) animation. Manga is the comic book form. (some people are very new to the field).
ATL = Alternate TimeLine how things went after changes were made.
AU - Alternate Universe. A Universe based on a commonly known setting but where things went differently.
AU = Astronomical Unit. Used as shorthand for the mean distance between the Earth and the Sun

BROB = Bored Random Omnipotent Being/Bastard Random Omnipotent Being Something unimaginably powerful doing some random junk just because its bored a jerk and wants to see you squirm.
Bab5 = Babylon 5.
BDSM = Bondage/Domination/Sado/Masochism.
BFR = Battlefield Removal. Loss due to running away or being run off.
Bolo = Massive tanks from the Bolo-series by Keith Laumer. Incredibly well armed, armoured and dedicated AI run land battleships that can carry out aggressive negotiations with orbiting starships, they are used as planetary defence units and also as a measure of stompiness.
BDZ = Base Delta Zero. A term used in the Star Wars universe to describe the complete and utter destruction of a planets ability to support life via orbital bombardment until the entire planets surface literally glows red hot.

CT - CthulhuTech.
Canon = Official material of a series, that has been approved by the creator(s).
Composite = All notable versions of a character, or a combination of specified. So composite Batman could include: Batman when he had Superman's powers, Batman on that alien planet when he had powers, normal Batman, TDKR Batman, etc. versions.
Cookies = e-hugs.

DCAU - DC Comics Animated Universe.

DET = Direct Energy Transfer used to describe a weapon that does its damage the old fashion way by expending all of its energy into it. Just as true for a laser as it is for a bullet.
DEW = Directed Energy Weapon (e.g., particle beam, laser, etc)

EU - Expanded Universe. Tie-in material for a film, TV series, game, or other media that builds on what has been established in the primary medium.
Exterminatus = A term used in the Warhammer 40,000 universe to describe the complete and utter destruction of a planets ability to support life (methods vary).

Ficcer= Fanfiction writer. "Author" is a term with too many respectful connotations, and "Writer" is a bit general.
Fanon - When ideas in fanfiction grow strong enough and widespread enough to gain a strange pseudo life of their own and claw their way into the light of day.
Fic = fanfiction story.
Force sub - Force substitution What If Luke and Rebels attacking the Death Star had WWII Spitfires instead of X-Wings?
Fourth Wall: The wall that separates the audience from the action. Broken when one or more characters act as if they are aware of the audience (while others aren't).
FFN - FanFiction.Net
FTL = Faster Then Light, usually the primary method of traveling rapidly from one planet to another in science fiction.
FTFY - Fixed That For You. Most often seen when someone alters a quoted post for what they believe to be comedic effect.

Glassing = A term, from Halo, used to describe the complete and utter destruction of an areas (areas usually moving upwards from cities, upwards to entire planet sized areas) ability to support habitation/life via bombardment of some kind until the surface litterally glows red hot, I.E. it turns to glass.
GEoM = The God Emperor of Mankind. The "Corpse God" of WH40K's Imperium of Mankind.

HP= Harry Potter.
Heresy = Pretty much what it means IRL although mostly used in a joking manner. A way of saying that someone has gone too far and that they should be punished for their actions/words.
Hard Scifi = Science Fiction in which the technology seen is rooted in reality, well more so then most fiction.

Mash Up: Two things smashed together to make something else. Doom + My Little Pony, for example would not really be unaffected by the other.
Moderator = THE MODS ARE THE LAW. if they say something is the case, it is the case, unless contradicted by either sufficient proof of otherwise in correlation of the rules(a risky proposition to try), or is overruled by other mods and the admins. Not much known on how their internal bureaucracy works.

SI - Self-Insert, a common form of fanfic in which the Author places themselves in the story.
SG - Stargate
Stomp: Fight lopsided to the point one of the combatants can defeat the others as easily as a human stomping on an ant.
Shipping/shipped = pairing/paired. Can refer to either the characters being put together, or the act thereof.
SWARM Thread = A class of Thread that is Vald Tepes worthy, and someone mentions WHY its a stomp (And winning the thread in the process) within the first ten posts.
Shitposter = Someone who through trolling, awful opinions, a refusal to honestly debate, or simple no-value posts (such as derailments or image macros) lowers the standards of a given Internet community on a frequent basis. Shitposting may be either intentional (see: trolling) or incidental through the poster's expressed views or posting tendencies.
Like trolling, shitposting is NOT:
1)Expressing an unpopular opinion, so long as it isn't genuinely awful. Refusal to defend the opinion, however, is.
2)Acting as a Devil's Advocate.

Teen Fighters = refers to the American F14/15/16/18 fighter jets. Kind of like the Century series of the 60s and 70s, the F-100/101/102/105/105.
FYI, the F-12 was the YF-12, the fighter version of the SR-71 Blackbird. The F-13 was a B-29 model, back when F was photo (recon) rather than Fighter. The YF-17 became the F/A-18 Hornet, and the F-19 was the rumored stealth fighter.
